Immigrating to the U.S. in 2014, Mr. Esposito was determined to bring an authentic Italian experience to American tables. Taking over an Italian-American pizza restaurant, he established himself in his community and garnered valuable experience that he later utilized in his own independent endeavors. In 2022, he opened GUSTO – Ristorante Italiano, a restaurant venture aiming to bring true Italian cuisine to any and all customers. Since its opening, Mr. Esposito’s restaurant has seen monumental success, including being named Best Italian Restaurant by 5 Reasons to Visit and receiving noteworthy recognition from Eccelenze Italiane. He credits his success to dedicated work ethic, perseverance and his love for the culinary arts. Furthermore, he is grateful for the support of his wife, Giuseppina, who serves as both his inspiration to succeed and the manager of his business. In the coming years, Mr. Esposito hopes to change the way Italian cuisine is created and experienced in the United States. At GUSTO, he plans to offer only authentic Italian food rather than Italian-American to better illustrate how the two cuisines, while related, are distinct from each other.
