186 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ENTREPRENEURS Through tenacity and resilience, Selina M. Hightower has achieved success as a business expert and entrepreneur. Since 2022, she has served as a success job coach for Compass Family Services, which is a business that works to enhance the community by enriching the lives of its clients. In 2002, Ms. Hightower created a boutique named Selina Hightower Enterprises. She drew inspiration from Jackie Kennedy’s era as First Lady, during which the Greek-Argentine business magnate Aristotle Onassis provided her with a store for convenient access to clothing. This concept intrigued Ms. Hightower, prompting her to embark on a similar path. With a wide range of clothing accumulated through rental offerings, purchases and trade, she is able to offer her customers a variety of options. Ms. Hightower spent much of her early career with the Ohio Bell Telephone Company (now operating as AT&T Ohio). From 1964 to 1984, she worked as an operator, supervisor, group chief officer and marketing director, ending her tenure with the company as an assistant manager. Ms. Hightower obtained a bachelor’s degree in political science from Youngstown State University in 2000, and she earned a Master of Theology from Goshen College in 2020. Currently, she is pursuing a Doctor of Divinity and hopes to publish a book of poetry. Ms. Hightower attributes much of her success to her faith. To wit, her affiliations with the Mt. Calvary Pentecostal Church, Women With a Call, and the United Kingdom Destiny Ministries Alliance of Churches have illuminated her intimacy with God. As she approaches her 80th birthday, Ms. Hightower envisions stepping back from her active career and embracing life at a more relaxed pace. She hopes to travel and explore different parts of the world, seeking new experiences and adventures, and plans to spend more time with her family. SELINA M.
