Originally from India, she attended the University of Mumbai, graduating in 1998 with a BS in accounting and business management. After immigrating to the United States, she pursued further education at Clark University, where she earned an MBA in corporate finance in 2002. Ms. Bhattacharya began her career with Ernst & Young LLP in New York. As the senior manager of tax and transfer pricing, she focused on tax planning opportunities for various companies, including Bank of America, JPMorgan Chase & Co., and Novartis AG. She also provided consulting services in the retail industry, including for renowned book publishing houses such as McGraw Hill. During this time, she honed her technical skills, cultivated mentorship relationships and engaged in community outreach programs. Seeking a new challenge after nine years, Ms. Bhattacharya joined CIT Bank, an online bank based in New Jersey and now part of the First Citizens Banking Group. In this role, she further refined her subject matter expertise by addressing various challenges specific to banking organizations while also developing her skills as a mentor by nurturing emerging talent. Additionally, she obtained an MS in business leadership and strategy at the Harvard Business School during this time, further honing her leadership acumen. Since 2018, Ms. Bhattacharya has served as the senior director and global head of transfer pricing at Fiserv Inc., focusing on international tax planning in the transfer pricing area. Excited by the opportunity to explore a new field with a global leader in financial technology, she has played a pivotal role in establishing and growing the company’s dedicated transfer pricing team. Looking ahead, Ms. Bhattacharya aims to continue establishing herself as a recognized leader, with the hope of positively influencing the next generation of finance professionals.
