Leveraging over five decades of experience, Mr. Selig has excelled in investment banking by implementing many innovative structures and completing over 250 transactions in mergers and acquisitions, swaps and private placements. Since 1987, he has served as the founder and president at The Selig Capital Group, which provides investment banking services for middle-market companies. He also authored “Thriving! How to Create a Healthier, Happier, and More Prosperous Life,” which inspires and encourages others to make choices leading to enhanced vitality, greater purpose and meaning, and reaching their full potential. Before starting his firm, Mr. Selig served as the director of corporate finance at Bear Stearns in San Francisco from 1984 to 1987. Additionally, he was the managing director at Bankers Trust International – Asia in Tokyo from 1981 to 1984. During his tenure overseas, he gained recognition as one of three individuals worldwide who designed the long-term currency swap market. Mr. Selig was the vice president in the corporate finance department at Bankers Trust Company in New York City from 1978 to 1981. He began his career as a corporate finance associate at Lehman Brothers between 1976 and 1978.
