Dr. Dingle began his career as a software developer and lecturer before joining Raytheon Missile Systems (now RTX Corporation) in 2007. During his first year with the company, he rearchitected a generic simulation framework for missile systems and later worked on immersive design center projects, successfully integrating stereoscopic displays into large visualization systems controlled by a single computer. Between 2012 and 2016, he departed the company to pursue other opportunities as a software developer with Kihon and as an assistant professor at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Since 2019, he has served as a systems architect, consultant and R&D expert for the RTX Corporation. Alongside his professional work, Dr. Dingle volunteers for community outreach, delivering presentations for the Girls Who Code program and technical demonstrations at Texas Christian University and Texas A&M University. He also presents at international conferences, such as the Augmented Enterprise Summit. Through these activities, he aims to spark interest in extended and augmented reality among students considering computer science and business studies. The presentations provide valuable insights into RTX’s work and showcase the latest technologies in an informative and entertaining experience. Moving forward, Dr. Dingle hopes to continue working with college students, reinvigorate the RTX internship programs, and collaborate with other young industry minds. He is a member of the Association for Computing Machinery and participates in activities of the Augmented Reality Enterprise Alliance. He is also open to returning to academia and remains committed to benefiting the field of education. Following his childhood fascination with video games, Dr. Brent M. Dingle began exploring the computer science industry at Bradley University. After earning a dual bachelor’s degree in computer science and mathematics in 1995, he continued his education at Texas A&M University, where he ultimately achieved a master’s degree in mathematics and a PhD in computer science.
