Mr. Duke’s practice focuses on human rights and social justice, and he considers this work to be among his most important achievements. To this end, Mr. Duke has served as the president of the Institute for Children’s Aid since 2009. In addition to his work in law, Mr. Duke is a producer and the chief executive officer of Duke Entertainment Media LLC, a film production company. As a producer, he specializes in documentary projects and is currently working on “Generation to Generation,” a film centered on interviews with the descendants of Holocaust survivors. Through his creative works, Mr. Duke hopes to have a positive influence on society. He is the author of numerous books, including “Because I'm Black,” “Racism Awareness” and “Not Without a Fight: The Story of a Polish Jew’s Resistance.” He has appeared on numerous radio and television broadcasts including Time Warner News, The Dee Armstrong Show and the Ron Williams Show. In the future, Mr. Duke plans to maintain his law practice but shift his focus to writing books and creating movies. With the support of his publisher, he is currently writing “Empathy Awareness,” a series for all grade levels that teaches children to understand others’ emotions and experiences with grace and patience.
