Between 2015 and 2024, Mr. Wiley was an onair personality, APD and web manager for Pirate Radio Key West WKYZ-FM, building on his prior experience as a broadcast manager. During this time, he launched the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast with the mission of sharing the experiences of first responders and bringing positivity and connection, especially for those affected by PTSD. The Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show has 125 affiliated AM-FM U.S. radio stations and is a top .5% ranked podcast. In the coming years, Mr. Wiley hopes to partner with even more radio stations across the United States, with the goal of hosting the show on 300 stations. Adjacent to his work in broadcast media, he remains active as an animal advocate. John Jay Wiley is a retired law enforcement officer who has spent more than two decades building his presence as a radio and podcast host. Since 2017, he has hosted the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast, a LetRadio.com production. It focuses on first-person interviews with first responders, law enforcement, and members of the military, combining human interest and true crime content. Before entering the entertainment industry, Mr. Wiley served in law enforcement with the Baltimore Police Department as a sergeant from 1980 until 1992. After retiring from the Baltimore Police Department due to line-of-duty injuries sustained in the field, Mr. Wiley worked in sales and marketing, specializing in internet marketing. In 2004, he completed radio and television broadcasting courses through the Connecticut School of Broadcasting and began his on-air career as an afternoon host for Ridgway, Pennsylvania’s WDDH-FM 97.5 The Hound. From 2006 until 2011, he served as a morning show host, music director and APD for Mix 94.3 radio station in Lake City, Florida.
