Virginia Beach, VA ARTS, MEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT Kim Kissel is a dedicated, multi-faceted artist, focusing on oil painting, capturing the nuances of life, and exploring themes of solitude and introspection. For over 35 years, she has actively engaged in gallery representation, exhibiting in numerous solo and group shows across various states. Furthermore, her work resides in collections both domestically and internationally. Her passion for art emerged at a young age, and she dedicated herself to studying and developing her skills at Missouri Southern State University, where she earned a BFA in 1977. Ms. Kissel’s work is influenced by Impressionism, drawing on its use of light and color to capture moments and emotions. Likewise, symbolism and intimacy are the trademarks of her work; her flower image represents the true love shared between her and her late husband. Her relentless pursuit of creative exploration and commitment to sharing her knowledge with others have established her as a respected figure in the art community. Moving forward, Ms. Kissel hopes to continue expanding her skills and knowledge through active involvement with her fellow artists.
