She considers her work to be an investment in people and feels her most significant accomplishments center on developing individuals and relationships. To wit, she has helped businesses increase their revenue, retention, and reputation by developing cohesive leaders who can identify and solve problems at the source, thus allowing them to create productive and profitable workplaces. She is also glad to have created a new leadership development program, which she hopes to continue expanding in the coming years. Tabitha J. Liburd is an attorney and conflict management expert who offers clients a full suite of coaching, consulting and corporate training services as the founder of Marshall Duke Consulting. Founded in 2020 and named after her mother and grandmother, the firm is rooted in a desire to help women excel and manage the complexities of success. Born in Guyana, she holds an LLB from the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus and a legal education certificate from Hugh Wooding Law School. She began her career practicing law in Guyana and Saint Kitts and Nevis. In 2000, Ms. Liburd became a deputy registrar for the Supreme Court of the Bahamas, a position she operated in for a decade. Concurrently, she served as a course director at the Eugene Dupuch Law School, and she was a specialist advisor to the Government of the Bahamas Office of the Attorney General’s Law Reform and Revision Commission from 2007 until 2010.
