91 Millennium - Eighteenth Edition BUSINESS SERVICES, CONSULTING AND HUMAN RESOURCES began working as a hairstylist and salon manager for the Regis Corporation, where she grew her experience for many years. The subsequent year, Ms. Mujakic-Sabanagic entered a multi-leadership role within the business, in which she oversaw a workforce of over 150 employees. Continuing her upward trajectory, she transitioned from district to regional leadership at PS Salon & Spa and served as the marketing director for Chicago Marketing Northwest. In her current position as the director of education and marketing for Beauty Craft, Ms. Mujakic-Sabanagic helps enhance the skills and knowledge of professionals in over 45,000 salons nationwide. Collaborating with over 35 global partners, including prestigious brands such as Moroccanoil, Oligo Professionnel and Aqua Hair Extensions, she continues to elevate standards and inspire excellence in the beauty industry in her role. To accentuate her leadership abilities, Ms. Mujakic-Sabanagic earned a BSBA at DeVry University in 2018 and an MBA at the institution’s Keller Graduate School of Management in 2024. She also holds four associate degrees from Moraine Valley. In light of her accomplishments, Ms. MujakicSabanagic attributes much of her success to her perseverance. Likewise, she is proud to have earned her credentials in her field, which cemented her status as an industry expert and proven professional. Looking to the future, Ms. Mujakic-Sabanagic aspires to continue growing in experience and leadership within the beauty industry. Furthermore, she plans to continue championing charitable causes and giving back to the community as an ovarian cancer survivor and leader at the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition. She hopes to serve as a role model for her children, as well, instilling in them determination and the confidence to succeed in their industries of choice. Mirela Mujakic-Sabanagic rose from humble beginnings to find success in the beauty and cosmetics industry.
