Leveraging over 50 years of experience, Jeffrey D. Woolf, Esq., serves as counsel for the Board of Bar Overseers, a volunteer organization with members appointed by the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. He has been a prosecutor in many notable cases, including the state’s lawsuit against tobacco companies, which resulted in an $8 billion settlement. Throughout his career, Mr. Woolf has worked for many noteworthy firms, such as Swartz & Swartz, in addition to operating his own private practice from 1974 to 2006, litigating in personal injury, business, transactional work and civil law. Currently, he teaches legal ethics as an adjunct professor at the New England School of Law. He has also published many articles and book chapters, and he co-authored and edited the treatise, “Massachusetts Bar Discipline: History, Practice and Procedure.” Looking ahead, Mr. Woolf aims to continue teaching and writing, alongside his primary professional duties. He also remains passionate about giving back to his community, contributing to the Jewish National Fund and serving on the board of directors and governing council for Temple Beth Shalom.
