He is responsible for Google’s Gemini artificial intelligence project, including the launch of Google Bard, and manages user outreach and weekly project workshops that average 300 attendees. As a leader in his specialty, he has written and presented extensively on Gemini and generative AI, including talks at MIT and GDG Silicon Valley, San Jose, and Santa Clara, and publications on specialized use cases for Gemini tools. Mr. Danenberg credits his success to his vision, passion, and a commitment to innovation and looks forward to increasing awareness of Gemini projects in coming years. Outside his technical work, he enjoys playing rugby, soccer, and ultimate frisbee and is an avid pianist and event producer who has hosted monthly Google employee concerts for more than a decade. Peter Danenberg is a software engineer celebrating more than 20 years of work on cutting-edge technologies including some of Google’s bestknown artificial intelligence products. Before pivoting into technology, Mr. Danenberg studied classics and philosophy at the University of Cambridge and the International Center for Hellenic and Mediterranean Studies. He completed a bachelor’s degree in classics, German, and philosophy at the University of Southern California in 2000 and continued postbaccalaureate studies in comparative literature as a research fellow of Harvard University. His passion for languages led him to an interest in computer science, particularly natural language processing, and in 2004 he was awarded a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Southern California. He began his technology career as a developer for the Wikimedia Foundation and spent three years as a research assistant for the Information Sciences Institute before first working with Google as a contractor in 2008. Through the 2010s, he worked as a software developer for educational technology nonprofit the CK-12 Foundation, Mr. Danenberg moved into the biotechnology space, contracting with Novartis and Genentech.
