418 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine TECHNOLOGY Jun Lan is an entrepreneur and tech industry executive who has been the owner and chief executive officer of BlueTech Global LLC, a tier 1 supplier of automotive electrical components, since 2013. Born in China, he began his professional journey as a student at Peking University, where he received a BS in chemistry and polymer science in 1991. In 1998, Mr. Lan joined Yazaki North America as a process engineer and supervisor for, where he subsequently became a principal engineer in 2003. He simultaneously continued his education at the University of Texas at El Paso, earning an MS and completing doctoral coursework in materials science and engineering. In 2007, he achieved an MBA in general management and international business at the University of Michigan Stephen M. Ross School of Business. Mr. Lan left Yazaki North America in 2009 to become the president of both TENA and Tianhai Electric North America. Two years later, he was named the president of international business at the THB Group, where he remained until 2013. After departing the THB Group, Mr. Lan successfully launched BlueTech Global. Bringing more than 15 years of executive leadership expertise to his current position, he oversees a local team of 20 staff members and 200 international employees. Since the original launch, Mr. Lan has built the company to a valuation of over $50 million, and he looks forward to growing the company’s market share further in the coming years. Outside of his primary vocational endeavors, Mr. Lan sits on the board of six other companies and remains active in sponsoring numerous charity events and scholarships. In light of his fulfilling career, he largely credits his success to his dedicated work ethic and a diverse education that covered both business and technical aspects.
