420 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine TECHNOLOGY Originally from Brazil, Fulvio Salman Manente began coding and creating programs at 15 years old, earning a BS in information systems in 2004 and an MS in finance and financial management services in 2006. After immigrating to the United States, he received a second MS in artificial intelligence and machine learning from The University of Texas at Austin in 2021. Mr. Manente began his career as a lead analyst and developer with Genari & Peartree from 2002 to 2005, working simultaneously as a business analyst with Unibanco Seguros S.A. in 2003. In 2005, he became a team leader at the International Business Machines Corporation. He subsequently worked with Sprint, Walmart Latin America and Estapar before joining Softtek in 2019. As the global vice president for retail solutions since 2021, he has helped develop innovative solutions and processes for sharing data with clients. Mr. Manente considers his most significant accomplishment to be the digital transformation of Estapar, a prominent parking and mobility company in Brazil. There, he established foundational infrastructure and systems for the digitalization process, enabling advanced parking reservations and the use of virtual wallets for street parking. Later, he led the development of retail e-commerce digital platforms and logistic solutions for several customers across Latin America. Today, he focuses on applying AI to different IT sectors, helping to create faster business solutions. Looking ahead, Mr. Manente is also focused on IQRight, a side project he began in 2023 to improve the student dismissal process in schools. This endeavor began with smallscale efforts to aid his children’s school, which suffered from a time-consuming bottleneck during dismissal times. Thanks to his efforts, the dismissal duration was reduced from 50 minutes to 15, ensuring all children exited the school safely and efficiently while also cutting down on local traffic. Mr. Manente intends to use his technology, logistics and mobility knowledge to continue growing IQRight, with other tests for the project currently ongoing in the U.S. and Latin America.
