426 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine TECHNOLOGY these accelerators more accessible, which has aided developments in science and medicine. In addition to assisting others, Dr. Potter has published his own research through outlets such as the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. His published papers include “Multiple Beam Power Grid Tubes” in 2022, “Low Cost, High Efficiency RF Sources Using Multiple Beam Triodes” in 2020 and “Stability of a BiResonant Klynac” in 2016. Moving forward, Dr. Potter intends to continue with JP Accelerator Works alongside his sharing his knowledge as an independent contractor and consultant for businesses such as Reveam, Georgia-Pacific, AcceleRAD Technologies, and Los Alamos National Laboratory. He enjoys making contributions to topics he is passionate about and has no immediate plans to retire. As a young man, Dr. James M. Potter dreamed of creating instructions rather than following them. He chose physics as his major at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign because of its broad and encompassing nature. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in 1964, Dr. Potter spent many years establishing himself in his field before returning to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign for a graduate education. He earned a PhD in physics in 1975. Prior to obtaining a doctorate, Dr. Potter played a role in the development of a groundbreaking accelerator that revolutionized the manufacturing of radio frequency (RF) linear accelerators. Through his contributions, his team was able to complete work on the accelerator, which is now utilized worldwide in cancer therapy, industrial X-ray machines and research facilities. In 1994, Dr. Potter created JP Accelerator Works Inc., a private firm that specializes in providing linear accelerator technology to researchers and industrial clients. He remains the president of the firm and is proud of making JAMES M. POTTER PRESIDENT JP Accelerator Works Inc. Los Alamos, NM
