427 Millennium - Eighteenth Edition TECHNOLOGY Dr. Sam Sammane has been a distinguished executive leader for more than 15 years. After graduating from Joseph Fourier University in Grenoble, France, in 1998, he began working as a marketing coordinator. He returned to the university for postgraduate study, earning a master’s degree in applied physics in 2000, a second master’s degree in nanotechnology in 2001 and a Doctor of Philosophy in nanotechnology in 2005. While pursuing a doctorate, he taught at École Polytechnique. After moving to Canada, Dr. Sammane became the president and chief executive officer of Garmen Laboratory in 2007. He went on to hold executive positions at Laval and Labofine before moving to the United States and creating American Testing Labs in 2017. The same year, he cofounded Olio Pharmaceuticals. During this time, Dr. Sammane continued to build his career as a consultant and taught computer engineering at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada, for three years. His most recent venture is TheoSym, an artificial intelligence company established in 2023. In 2022, Dr. Sammane began a writing career with the publication of “The Singularity of Hope: Humanity’s Role in an AI-Dominated Future,” a book that explores the role of artificial intelligence in humanity’s future. As an academic, he has published over 40 peer-reviewed articles. To share his work, he launched a YouTube channel, which has amassed 150,000 subscribers since 2023. His shorts have garnered 10,000 views on average, with some reaching 200,000 views. In addition to writing and social media, he frequently conducts interviews and hosts podcasts. Moving forward, Dr. Sammane intends to continue his work as an author and a visionary, shaping the future of humanity as artificial intelligence rises in prominence.
