He and his colleagues delivered mission-critical programs for Amazon’s selling partners, working to streamline the process and provide quick service. Outside of his primary professional endeavors, Mr. Savitala remains active in community and volunteer affairs. To wit, he coached the Science Olympiad for three years and spent three years as the robotics coach for the Lake Washington School District. In addition to his university education, he is a graduate of the Wharton Executive Education chief technology officer program, as well as the Amazon Machine Learning University. Attributing his success to his mentors and family, Mr. Savitala is grateful for the support he has received over the course of his career. Looking to the future, he hopes to continue his work with Amazon for many more years. In his spare time, he enjoys tutoring, traveling and playing cricket. For more than 20 years, Srinivas Savitala has cultivated a successful career in the field of computer science. Originally from India, he attended Osmania University in Hyderabad, where he received a Bachelor of Science in electronics from the university’s Loyola Academy in 1996 and a Master of Science in computer science in 1999. Mr. Savitala subsequently began his career as a software engineer for Infosys in Bengaluru, where he worked from 2000 to 2003. Afterward, he became the lead software engineer at Cognizant Technology Solutions in Hyderabad. After immigrating to the United States in 2004, Mr. Savitala joined Microsoft as a principal and software engineering manager at the company’s office in Redmond, Washington. He remained in these positions for 11 years, leaving to become the senior software development manager at Amazon in Seattle in 2015. Since joining the company, he has risen to his current appointment as the head of engineering for the company’s Kuiper business solutions, a role he recently took on in 2024.
