164 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ENERGY, ENGINEERING AND MANUFACTURING Brian K. Gorog celebrates 22 years of success in civil engineering. He began working in the industry by participating in the University of Akron Engineering Co-op Program in 1998 as an assistant field inspector for the Ohio Department of Transportation. In 2000, he was hired as a co-op for McCoy and Associates Inc. as an AutoCAD technician and surveying assistant. In 2002, Mr. Gorog earned a BS in civil engineering and, upon graduation, was hired full-time as a design engineer at McCoy and Associates. Mr. Gorog continued working as a design engineer for Greenland Consulting Inc. and Chagrin Valley Engineering until 2017, when he was hired by OHM Advisors to serve as a project engineer and municipal engineering representative. In this position, he works with local governments, road and sewer authorities, and advises the mayor on infrastructure, community development, capital improvement plans and funding. Looking to the future, Mr. Gorog hopes to become OHM Advisors’ branch manager or principal. He is proud of his achievements and plans to continue to grow as a professional and seek new opportunities to expand his knowledge and skills. PROJECT ENGINEER, MUNICIPAL ENGINEERING REPRESENTATIVE OHM Advisors Akron, OH David C. Hale is an engineer and entrepreneur known for his work as the founder and former president of Scale-Tronix Inc., a developer and manufacturer of specialized medical scales for hospital and clinic use. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at Purdue University in 1959 and began his career as a design engineer for Motorola Mobile Devices the same year. In the late 1960s, he became a systems engineer for Toledo Scale, where he developed the industry knowledge needed to subsequently launch Scale-Tronix Inc. Until his retirement in 2015, Mr. Hale served as the president of his company, earning recognition for his client-oriented approach to business. Throughout his career, he found success in many diverse ventures, including a regional cable TV provider later acquired by Comcast and a biodegradable bags business currently exploring newer green polymer technologies. He credits his success to his customer focus, flexibility, and ability to build fruitful relationships.
