258 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine HEALTH AND WELLNESS LUCETTE BEALL VETERINARIAN Dr. Lucette Savannah, TX Inspired by her father’s career as a veterinarian, Dr. Lucette Beall spent her childhood dreaming of working with animals. She initially pursued a career in accounting, attending Southwestern Oklahoma State University on rodeo and scholastics scholarships. After graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting in 1984 and working in the field for five years, Dr. Beall grew more confident that veterinary medicine was her true calling. Determined to realize her childhood dream, Dr. Beall enrolled in Oklahoma State University to fulfill the prerequisite degree for veterinary school, earning a Bachelor of Science and Arts in animal science in 1991. Continuing her education at the same institution, she earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. Though the road was long, she is proud to have achieved her goal of becoming a veterinarian. Dr. Beall began her own practice early in her career, working full-time as an emergency veterinarian for four years before establishing the Aubrey Animal Medical Center in 2001. She enjoyed being part of the community and serving her clients for more than 20 years, growing the company from a small veterinary office to a business worth $1.2 million. She ultimately decided to sell Aubrey Animal Medical Center in 2023. Upon learning that she was leaving the company, one client remarked that it was time for Dr. Beall to reach a larger audience — an outlook that she keeps in mind as she moves forward. Continuing to excel as a veterinarian, Dr. Beall divides her time between her new practice, Dr. Lucette, and her endeavors as a speaker, educator and author. In the veterinary field, she strives to tackle long-standing issues regarding the mental health struggles in the industry. Dr. Beall believes it is crucial to address the mental well-being of all veterinary employees, as the field is witnessing a concerning turnover rate leading to a shortage of professionals and difficulty keeping up with demand. Through teaching and coaching, she provides guidance to improve mental health within veterinary medicine, aiming to foster a more positive, supportive and sustainable work environment for all involved.
