In the future, Dr. Atanda hopes to continue developing innovative solutions for complex problems in specialty cardiology, aiming to enhance patients' well-being. Driven by a commitment to addressing these uncertainties, he is determined to contribute to the creation of comprehensive treatments in his field. Dr. Adebayo Christian Atanda has dedicated his life to treating cardiomyopathy, inspired by his family’s experiences with heart disease. He received a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Ilorin in his home country of Nigeria and went on to complete a three-year residency at the Howard University Hospital in 2018. He has participated in fellowships at the George Washington University Hospital and Columbia University Irving Medical Center, specializing in general and transplant cardiology and advanced heart failure. Since 2022, Dr. Atanda has been an invasive cardiologist and the director of advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology at Valley Health. He is currently conducting research funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) on the link between cardiac amyloidosis and coronary artery disease. Prior to working for Valley Health, he served as the resident medical officer for First Cardiology Consultants.
