Marasco has successfully completed over 3,000 housing units in mixed-use buildings in the Portland and Seattle markets. After earning a BS at the University of Oregon, he became a development project manager and managing director of Security Properties, roles in which he served from 1992 to 2007. In 2007, he became the company’s chief development officer, and since then, he has managed the development team and the projects under construction and in the entitlement pipeline. Mr. Marasco believes a combination of careful planning and a modicum of luck has contributed to his success. Likewise, he emphasizes the importance of thorough due diligence before embarking on new projects to identify and address potential issues. He attributes the success of Security Properties to the strong relationships the company has cultivated with its development teams and investor partners. In 2015, she joined Salas O’Brien, a top 40 facility planning and engineering firm. With an unwavering attention to detail, she skillfully integrates architectural design and engineering, resulting in elegant, secure, reliable and scalable facilities. As a principal in Salas O’Brien, Ms. Ross manages the Critical Environment Division. This division specializes in designing facilities, such as data centers, emergency operation centers and network operation centers, which must remain in continuous operation 24/7. Highly accomplished in her field, she is particularly proud of the programming, design and construction of a three-story, 295,000-square-foot data center in California, a large-scale project that testifies to her unique architectural design and technical proficiency. Excelling professionally as a female in the male-dominated field of architecture and specializing in an extremely technical and complicated building type, Ms. Ross often finds herself the only woman at the table. She believes that by being successful and visible, she inspires other capable women to pursue their career objectives, which in turn brings more women into leadership roles.
