As corporations and enterprises become increasingly focused on infinite growth and prosperity, the lines between profitability and worthwhile merit are blurring. It can be difficult to differentiate these concepts since monetary value seems so intrinsically tied to a thing’s worth. The question has become, “Why bother doing a thing if it isn’t profitable?” However, we might ask instead, “Why aim for arbitrary goals if they are unfulfilling? What is the worth of improvement and accomplishment if not fueled by passion?” Maintaining our passions is vital — passion drives innovation forward. The most impactful stories, revolutionary inventions and inspiring discoveries are born from passion, which suggests that genuine passion leads to genuine success. This thread ties together many of our featured listees in the 19th edition of Millennium Magazine. Whether they operate in the arts, education, medicine, science or technology, our listees harness their passions to excel in their professional endeavors. As such, we hope to inspire all readers similarly through their examples. Julia Estevez-Losada (pg. 26) has demonstrated excellence as a business coach, teaching her clients about the importance of accountability and how to achieve their highest potential. Jessica Vlossak (pg. 96) strives to help others, managing her own therapy practice, where she specializes in mental health and psychology. Furthermore, Dr. George A. Krammer III (pg. 142) has established himself as a passionate, board-certified veterinary cardiologist, driven by a lifelong love of animals. Lastly, Captain Brent F. Burton (pg. 154) is wellregarded as a historian dedicated to sharing the stories of pioneering Black firefighters. We are also pleased to share several pertinent editorial pieces to aid readers in channeling passion into future success. “Exploring Group Ideation Techniques” discusses several useful tactics for teamwork that can help businesses thrive. Additionally, “How to Use Content Curation to Dominate Social Media” highlights how individuals can strengthen their voices on social media. While the utilization of such platforms grows, it is crucial to avoid entrapment by apps and websites, which speaks to our final article, “What is Doomscrolling and How Do You Stop Doing It?” As we continue bounding through 2025, we hope our readers’ passions are bold and meaningful, much like the distinguished Marquis listees featured in this latest edition of Millennium Magazine.
