Dr. Kayal served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves and was honorably discharged in 1964 after serving for six years. Reflecting on his career, Dr. Kayal attributes his success to the unwavering support of his wife and the invaluable life experiences gained during his time in the Marine Corps. These experiences and his active participation in church and cultural activities have provided a strong foundation for leading his family business through challenging times and competitive environments. Today, Dr. Kayal remains passionate about playing golf and tennis and cherishes spending time with his wife, Loraine, and his family, including his three children and five grandchildren. Looking ahead, he is dedicated to positively impacting the lives of his family members, focusing on their well-being and continuing to support their professional and personal growth. After retiring from Sirgany, Dr. Kayal dedicated his time to serving on the boards of two faithbased, federally qualified community health care organizations in Miami Dade County: Camillus House and Camillus Health. From 2004 to 2014, he played a significant role in these organizations, which focused on providing health care services to the homeless population. After seven years, he became the executive director and chief executive officer of Camillus Health, roles in which he aided in expanding social and health care services for the homeless and spearheading crucial fundraising efforts. In the religious and cultural domains, Dr. Kayal is a founding member and dedicated supporter of Miami’s Saint Jude Greek-Melkite Catholic Church and a parishioner of the Roman Catholic Church of the Epiphany in Miami. He has been recognized with numerous awards and honors, including the prestigious Ellis Island Medal of Honor from the National Ethnic Coalition of Organizations; Papal knighthood as a Commander with Star in the Order of St. Gregory the Great; knighthoods in the Sovereign Military Order of Malta American Association,
