Afterward, she operated as a professor at the University of North Florida and Florida Technical College and taught in Duval County Public Schools. After concluding her time as a teacher in 2006, Dr. Kore began working as an electrical designer with The Ohmega Group LLC, where she remained for a year before moving to Reynolds, Smith & Hills. From 2007 to 2015, she excelled as an electrical engineer with the company. She then departed to join AECOM as a senior electrical engineer and senior systems designer before recently joining Swanson Rink. In light of her fulfilling career, Dr. Kore has largely attributed her success to staying true to herself, as well as the support of those around her. She looks forward to retiring within the next decade and is currently working toward stepping back from her professional responsibilities to devote more attention to her personal life and goals. Since 2019, Dr. Lisa Kore, PE, has served as a senior electrical engineer at Swanson Rink Inc., a leading design engineering firm specializing in aviation industry projects and mission-critical facilities. As a licensed professional engineer, she is experienced in multidisciplinary projects and often fulfills the roles of both lead project engineer and electrical engineer of record. In her current role, she oversees staff training and design work, focusing on hyperscale data centers. Her current projects encompass power, lighting, fire alarm design, and interfacing with security and telecommunications systems. Prior to her engineering career, Dr. Kore served as an airman first class in the United States Air Force from 1981 to 1983. Prior to the military, she earned a BS in psychology at Heidelberg College. Following her military service, she subsequently received a BS in electrical engineering from the University of Florida.
