Raleigh, NC SHAOYI CHE As a managing partner of YZ Law, Shaoyi Che represents clients in federal litigations and arbitrations and frequently meets with Chinese law firms in need of United States-based legal counsel. He established the practice in 2024, having previously worked as an associate attorney at Peter Brown & Associates PLLC. Mr. Che created YZ Law to foster awareness of U.S. law and enable international companies and cross-border e-commerce businesses to safeguard their interests. Mr. Che holds a BA in philosophy from Dickinson College and attended George Washington University Law School, where he earned a JD in 2023. During his time in graduate school, he completed an exchange program at Akita International University in Akita, Japan. Looking ahead, Mr. Che aims to raise awareness about the significance of legal compliance when engaging with the U.S. market. He also plans to expand his practice, establishing an office in China and conducting educational lectures for businesses in the region. Specializing in risk, vendor and case management and mitigation, Jennifer Marie Evans, Esq., has served as the senior manager of the information technology department at Builders FirstSource Inc. since 2023. The company is the largest supplier of building products, value-added components and construction market services in the United States. In her leadership role, Ms. Evans oversees sourcing, contracting and risk management, and she develops relevant policies, contractual guidelines and performance measures. Ms. Evans notably established her company’s framework, processes and procedures, utilizing a third-party program for contract management. Over the course of her career, she has developed a keen eye for agreements and takes pride in her professional growth. Well-regarded for her professional acumen, Ms. Evans holds a BA in sociology from North Carolina State University and a JD from the North Carolina Central University School of Law. Looking ahead, she hopes to continue having a positive impact on her industry.
