132 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ATTORNEY AT LAW Steptoe LLP Naples, FL Mr. Golson has practiced law since 2012 and focused on personal injury and civil rights litigation since 2019. Civil rights litigation is deeply important to him and remains a focus of his practice and community efforts. He received his legal education from the University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law, where he received a BA in philosophy. Mr. Golson considers some of his most significant prior achievements to be his work as a prosecutor, including drunk driving prosecution. In recognition of this work, he received the first DUI Prosecutor of the Year Award for South Carolina from Mothers Against Drunk Driving in 2016. His dedication and success in prosecuting thousands of DUI cases has brought justice to the families of drunk driving victims and left a lasting impression. Mr. Golson currently serves as the board chair for the Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) state advisory board in South Carolina. He is also a member of the South Carolina Association for Justice and a council member for the trial and appellate advocacy section of the South Carolina Bar Association. Steve A. Fennell is an award-winning attorney and partner at Steptoe LLP, where he has dedicated 46 years to civil litigation in civil rights, intellectual property, environmental and construction contracts, and RICO enforcement. He graduated magna cum laude from the Georgetown University Law Center in 1978 and began his career with Steptoe LLP the next year following a brief clerkship. Mr. Fennell is proud to have handled many cases throughout his career. These include representing a Black family who experienced harassment and discrimination after moving into a majority-white suburb of Maryland in the 1980s. He also handled a recent $959 million international settlement on behalf of 17 Gulf War prisoners of war seeking restitution for human rights violations they endured under capture. He is active in pro bono work for the ACLU, the Washington Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under Law and community organizations and has been published in the Harvard Law Review and other journals.
