MATHIS Bridget V. Mathis has enjoyed a successful career in security and law enforcement. As the director of data analytics and technological solutions for the New York City Police Department, she creates and distributes reports for various agencies, such as the Office of the Mayor, the City Council and private nonprofit partner institutions. Prior to her current position, she served the New York City Police Department as director of management and budget analysis for two years. Ms. Mathis holds a Bachelor of Science in economics, criminal justice and statistics from Pace University and a Master of Science in urban policy analysis and management from The New School. Adjacent to her primary vocational efforts, she is also a writer in her field, having authored several pieces, including “The Effect of Home Price on Crime: An Econometric Analysis.” Looking ahead, Ms. Mathis hopes to continue her work with the New York City Police Department. As such, she intends to expand the data analytics and technological solutions department through increased operations, ensuring the department can continue to invest in its future. W. Scott O’Connell, Esq., boasts over three decades of practiced law experience. Since 2021, he has operated as a partner at Holland & Knight LLP, where he focuses on health care litigation and crisis management for hospitals and providers. He began his career in 1991 as a partner of Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale. Mr. O’Connell subsequently spent 23 years with Nixon Peabody LP, becoming a partner in the firm and serving as a practice group leader and a chair of its litigation department. Throughout his career, Mr. O’Connell has completed extensive pro bono work for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. He has also served as a vice-chair of the New Hampshire Governor’s Judicial Selection Committee, among other leadership roles. As part of his vocational journey, he pursued a formal education, ultimately achieving a JD at Cornell Law School, where he also earned distinction in advocacy. To commemorate his achievements, Mr. O’Connell was honored with Cornell’s 2025 Exemplary Public Service Award.
