Ronquillo has excelled as the director of police administration for the Dallas Independent School District Police since 2005. In his leadership role, he functions as the highest-ranking, non-sworn civilian in the department, serving with the command staff and assisting the chief of police in managing the department’s daily operations, including preparing and managing the department's budget of $17 million. He holds a bachelor’s degree in American history, Spanish literature and education from the University of Dubuque, as well as a Master of Public Administration from Texas Christian University. Mr. Ronquillo has enjoyed a distinguished career in teaching, gaining valuable insights into the differences between agricultural and urban communities and the challenges they face. He has been considered for director and program auditor positions at the Civilian Oversight Boards in locations such as Cincinnati, Ohio, Indianapolis, Indiana, and El Paso, Texas. As part of her vocational journey, Ms. Randels pursued a formal education, originally earning a BA in political science and Latin American Studies at Washington University in St. Louis in 2010.
