He trains students during their clinical rotations at Atlantic Coast New York Veterinary Specialists, which acts as a clinical training site partner for LIU. He is also a longtime member of the board of advisors at the Tufts University Cumming School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Kramer is proud to have established a scholarship fund (named after his parents), the George and Vivian Kramer Scholarship, to support veterinary medicine students in pursuing their dreams. In the coming years, he looks forward to continuing his research and further developing new innovative technologies for use in the veterinary field. He is the proud father of two wonderful children, Addison and Gregory, and husband to his wife, Jen, whom he credits with making all his achievements possible. Additionally, he developed a patented bronchial stent for dogs, among his other innovations. In addition to serving as an industry innovator, Dr. Kramer has maintained a clinical practice for more than three decades. To wit, he has operated as the chief of staff of Atlantic Coast New York Veterinary Specialists since 1989. Also in 1989, he established the first mobile veterinary ultrasound business, followed by Long Island’s first veterinary specialty center three years later. He continued to manage the practice until 2017, when he sold it to a private equity firm, though he remains active as a partner today.
