15 Millennium - Nineteenth Edition ARCHITECTURE, CONSTRUCTION AND REAL ESTATE Tyler J. Putnam is a successful architect and engineer working with a wealth of experience in building intelligence. Since 2024, he has served as the head of solutions engineering at Integrated Projects Technology Inc., a company offering fast, efficient turnkey solutions for digitizing manmade environments, such as buildings, roads and other structures. Spurred on by early exposure to web development, such as when he and his father contributed to the Sony Corporation’s first website in 1999, Mr. Putnam sought a career that could combine his technical expertise with his passion for architecture. After receiving a Bachelor of Architecture from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in 2011, he began consulting for Shigeru Ban Architects. In 2014, he joined Robert A.M. Stern Architects as a design technology manager, a position he maintained for 10 years. Mr. Putnam considers the highlight of his career to be obtaining his architect registration in New York. As an architect, he has contributed to numerous intricate and challenging projects for a wide array of companies, with a focus on projects in New York City and abroad. He played a pivotal role in guiding teams through the complex development process of projects, such as the construction of the Hudson Yards in New York. This project, spanning from 2017 to 2021, was deemed the largest construction project in the Northern Hemisphere at the time. Because of the project’s magnitude — involving the management of intricate project teams, consultants and complex political considerations — it is regarded as a remarkable achievement of architecture and construction. Looking toward the future, Mr. Putman is focused on significant career growth and achieving better sustainability in architecture. He recently joined Integrated Projects Technology Inc. to address challenges in the built environment through digitization, providing architects, building owners and construction managers with easier access to current information and industry-standard formats. Achieving field-wide digitization will positively impact sustainability and help meet carbon emission goals. TYLER J. PUTNAM HEAD OF SOLUTIONS ENGINEERING Integrated Projects Technology Inc.
