During this time, he has taken on various roles showcasing his expertise and leadership skills. Since 2024, he has served as the senior manager of manufacturing systems engineering, overseeing critical platforms facilitating the business operations of Amgen’s facility in North Carolina. His responsibilities encompass platform strategy, team management and the advancement of systems enhancing operational efficiency. He also plays a pivotal role in supporting the analytical equipment used in laboratories, ensuring that quality control measures meet industry standards and regulatory compliance. As a leader, Mr. Menendez Saa is dedicated to serving patients by ensuring systems that support manufacturing processes are aligned to uphold and deliver the highest quality of Amgen’s products. His leadership extends to overseeing a team of direct reports, guiding them in their professional development and maintaining objectives aligned with Amgen’s overall goals. Prior to his work at Amgen, Mr. Menendez Saa cultivated his background as a lead electrical and instrumentation engineer, having dedicated nine years to the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority from 2009 to 2018. In this pivotal role, he specialized in automation, electronics, pneumatics and system integration. His expertise also extends to power plants across the region and beyond local borders, as he collaborated with joint ventures involving other companies, contributing to numerous projects in Central America, South America and the Caribbean. He holds a BSEE from the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico and an MBA from the University of Phoenix, and he completed electrical engineering courses at the Pennsylvania State University. In the coming years, Mr. Menendez Saa aims to influence the next generation of engineers both personally and professionally. Passionate about mentorship, he seeks to guide younger engineers, fostering their growth and development while positively shaping their careers.
