33 Millennium - Nineteenth Edition BUSINESS SERVICES, CONSULTING AND HUMAN RESOURCES Mr. Ratcliffe develops, implements and leads the corporate global supply chain function for Cargill across all global businesses, including approximately 1,100 plant locations and 7,000 warehouses in 70 countries. He has delivered consistent improvements in margins, safety, quality, cost productivity, operating cash flow and service as a decisive and collaborative leader. Mr. Ratcliffe began his career in production management, serving as a manufacturing integration leader at General Electric and gradually transitioning into supply chain optimization. He has since also worked with such companies as HJ Heinz (now the Kraft Heinz Company) and The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. Outside of his vocational pursuits, he sits on the planning committee for the City of Medina and the supply chain and operations board of advisors for the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management. In addition to his professional experience, Mr. Ratcliffe holds pertinent degrees in industrial engineering from Purdue University. To wit, he earned a bachelor’s degree in 1993 and a master’s degree in 1995. Furthermore, he holds Lean Sigma Six Green Belt Certification and is Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIS), as recognized by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (now the Association for Supply Chain Management). Accounting for his achievements, Mr. Ratcliffe is particularly proud to have established and built Cargill’s corporate supply chain from the ground up. Under his leadership, the company’s global supply chain evolved from generating around $5 million in value creation to $1.2 billion in 2023. In the coming years, Mr. Ratcliffe is determined to assume a significant transformative position as the chief supply chain officer or chief operating officer at Cargill. Furthermore, he aspires to engage in board service. Mark Ratcliffe is a global senior executive leader with more than 30 years of experience to his credit. Since 2017, he has served as the vice president of global supply chain at Cargill Inc., a company committed to providing food, ingredients, agricultural solutions and industrial products in a responsible and sustainable manner.
