Nussbaum is a civil engineer officer in the United States Air Force. Focused on design and leadership, he graduated from the United States Air Force Academy with a BS in civil engineering and shortly thereafter reported to his first duty station in May 2009. He has since earned an MS in civil engineering and another in engineering management. Throughout his career, Mr. Nussbaum has led teams worldwide, including in England, South Korea and Hawaii. Recently, he led a team in Illinois overseeing $134 million annually in Air Mobility Command transportation facility projects and trained over 400 joint program managers. In 2023, he joined a $300 million annual program overseeing 10 installations, where he leads facility project execution and advises solutions to housing issues, audit readiness and storm damage recovery. Mr. Nussbaum is decorated with multiple Meritorious Service Awards, Commendation Medals and Achievement Medals. He looks forward to continuing to serve and leading cultural change to enhance readiness and recruiting. Furthermore, he is proud to have played a role in ensuring the U.S. Air Force’s relevance and strength for years to come.
