46 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine EDUCATION Throughout her coaching career, Ms. Virtue has remained committed to seeking mastery while emphasizing the importance of surrounding oneself with exceptional people, maintaining strong character, and embracing the value of hard work. In the coming years, she hopes to continue her leadership at the University of Michigan, focused on elevating the volleyball program. Erin E. Virtue is a retired athlete who brings her passion for volleyball to her work as the head coach for the University of Michigan Women’s Volleyball team. At the University of Michigan, she is active in recruiting, long-term athlete development, training methodologies and programming daily logistics. Her collegiate coaching career began at Loyola University Chicago in 2006 as a graduate assistant coach, followed by positions at the University of Cincinnati, the University of Michigan as an assistant coach, and Northwestern University as an associate head coach, before eventually returning to Michigan as head coach in 2023. Previously, Ms. Virtue served as an assistant coach for the U.S. Volleyball Women’s National Team for eight years, contributing to the team’s gold medal victory at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo and silver medal finish at the 2024 Olympics in Paris. These historic moments for the Women’s National Team are points of pride, and she is thankful for the hard work of her peers and the athletes. ERIN E.
