Mr. Jeffrey spent two years as a quality control pharmacist for the Guyana Pharmaceutical Corporation. In 1985, he was named coordinator of the three-year pharmacy training program at the University of Guyana, which he oversaw for the next 15 years. He continued his work in educational administration through 2002, serving as coordinator of the pharmacy technician training program at Success Training College in Nassau in the Bahamas. Mr. Jeffrey returned to pharmacy work the same year as a staff pharmacist at Princess Margaret Hospital. In 2005, Mr. Jeffrey returned to the United States, becoming a pharmacist for CVS and Rite Aid Corporation, where he won Customer Satisfaction Awards two years in a row. In 2022, he became the director of Wellness International, a Guyana-based venture committed to creating health partnerships, developing corporate wellness initiatives, and hosting an annual wellness expo. In addition to his work with Wellness International, he is a part-time pharmacist for Organic Remedies, a medical marijuana dispensary. Among other honors, Mr. Jeffrey was presented with a 2022 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Caribbean Association of Pharmacists, where he previously served as a council member and vice president. He credits his success to his dedicated work ethic and the support of his family. Born in Guyana, he relocated to the United States in the late 1970s and earned a BS in pharmacy at the University of Pittsburgh in 1982. Since 2011, she has excelled as the founder, chief executive officer and chief science officer at KeriCure Medical, a biotechnology company focused on improving healing outcomes for complex wounds. Likewise, she has operated as the owner of KeriChem Tech, a regulatory consulting and testing company, since 2017. Dr. Greenhalgh invented the KeriCure technology, a proprietary nanopolymer system designed to mimic the properties of the skin, providing a novel wound care solution for various injuries, from minor first aid to large burns and ulcers. Prior to establishing KeriCure Medical, Dr. Greenhalgh was a founding scientist at MiMedx Inc. (later MiMedx Group), leading the company’s first FDA 510(k) submission for a collagen mesh device. She has also served as a senior chemist for Constellation Technology and an interdisciplinary scientist in the United States Food and Drug Administration’s division of reproductive, abdominal and radiological devices. She was also a visiting professor at the University of South Florida between 2011 and 2012 while growing KeriCure. Well-regarded for her scholarly output, she continues to research and publish extensively on topics in nanoparticle technology, polymers and advanced wound care. Dr. Greenhalgh began her vocational journey by earning a BA in chemistry, with an emphasis in biochemistry, magna cum laude, at the University of South Florida in 2004. Shortly thereafter, she was named a fellow of both the Department of Homeland Security and the National Science Foundation IGERT from 2004 to 2007. She ultimately achieved a PhD in organic chemistry at her alma mater in 2007. Dr. Greenhalgh has won multiple awards and accolades throughout her career, but she is most proud of her work with the United States military. In light of her accomplishments, she received $145,000 in award funds from the U.S. Army’s xTechSearch, commemorating her contributions to military medicine.
