Since 2021, she has served as a nurse practitioner at CHI Memorial Hospital, where she admits and cares for patients, in addition to teaching graduate nursing students. Furthermore, she has been a member of the adjunct faculty at Tusculum University since 2017, a nocturnist nurse practitioner at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford since 2016, and a nurse practitioner with TeamHealth since 2014. Ms. Dyer has long maintained a passion for nursing, striving to become a provider and patient manager. She earned a BSN at Pensacola Christian College in 1998 before beginning her career as a registered nurse in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in 2001. Later in her career, she returned to school, receiving an MSN and a Family Nurse Practitioner certification from Carson Newman College (now CarsonNewman University). Looking ahead, Ms. Dyer plans to continue her education, working toward a DNP and a PhD. Likewise, she hopes to continue teaching and providing care for those in need. Meka S. Elmore is a rising expert in the health care industry. She currently serves as the team leader of intake and clinical services at Riverside Medical Center. While she entered her leadership role in 2023, she has otherwise operated with the organization since 2021. In her current role, Ms. Elmore manages patients and operations, including working with family members and case managers to deliver care and contributing to compliance and data analysis functions. Ms. Elmore was inspired to pursue a career in health care following the loss of her father, Terrance, in 2010. Following his passing, she discovered a desire to provide psychiatric support to others. She holds an MHA in nursing administration from McKendree University and hopes to eventually achieve an MD. In recognition of her commitment to care, Ms. Elmore was nominated for Riverside Medical Center’s Mission Impossible team and has received several noteworthy honors from MacMurray College. She credits her success to the unwavering support of her family, particularly her mother, Kim, her late father, Terrance, and her beloved stepfather, Dad Ray. MEKA S. ELMORE MEDICINE, HEALTH CARE AND WELLNESS VISITING PROFESSOR Chamberlain University Goodyear, AZ David D. Dyell brings over 30 years of experience to his role as a managing partner of Innovative Consulting Group, which delivers tailored information technology (IT) solutions to health care clients. He leads the firm’s sales strategy, go-to-market execution, and internal culture initiatives, with a strong focus on building highperforming teams. A United States Army veteran, Mr. Dyell began his career in nursing through the GI Bill before shifting to health care technology and implementation. Mr. Dyell is well-regarded as the founder and former chief executive officer of iSirona, a health care IT firm he scaled into one of the fastest-growing companies in its sector. He also founded Healthcare Technology Solutions and Jellyfish Health. Before launching these ventures, Mr. Dyell held leadership roles at Healthcare.com (now Infor), SeeBeyond and First Consulting Group. To commemorate his achievements, Mr. Dyell has earned numerous honors, including the Governor’s Business Ambassador Award from former Florida Governor Rick Scott. As a recognized industry leader, he is passionate about mentoring emerging professionals and hopes to continue inspiring others through his work in the health care technology space. Debbie Barrett-Bryson has excelled as a registered nurse and educator. She holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Franklin University and dual master’s degrees in nursing education and health services administration from the University of Phoenix. She began precepting nursing students as a charge nurse at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, where she discovered a passion for teaching. Today, Ms. Barrett-Bryson primarily serves as a visiting professor at Chamberlain University, where she has operated since 2022. Previously, she taught at the University of Phoenix from 2009 to 2021. Utilizing a wealth of experience in nursing, Ms. Barrett-Bryson has successfully navigated the private sector, hospital administration and home health. This diverse background provides her with a comprehensive understanding of the opportunities available in nursing. In her former role as a regional director at UnitedHealth Group, she led a program dedicated to supporting underserved obstetric patients across seven states. In the coming years, Ms. BarrettBryson is considering retirement. Currently, she finds fulfillment as an educator for future nurses, as she enjoys witnessing the moment of understanding when her students grasp complex concepts.
