Additionally, she has been a registered nurse at PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center since 2018. Prior to these positions, she was a registered nurse at UW Medical Center – Northwest for 10 years. Alongside her career experience, she holds a BSN from Washington State University and is a certified shamanic energy medicine practitioner with Sacred Oak Academy. To remain abreast of pertinent industry developments, Ms. Ward maintains membership in the Washington State Nurses Association. Reflecting on her career, she is particularly proud of her shamanic energy work. Specializing in podiatry, she has served as a podiatrist with El Paso Orthopedic Surgery Group since 2018. Previously, she operated in private practice for 15 years, focusing on diabetic foot and wound care. Today, she remains dedicated to increasing access to care and reducing the need for amputations, and she hopes to expand her own practice to focus on critical limb ischemia and interdisciplinary services. As part of her vocational journey, Dr. Velasquez pursued a formal education. To wit, she holds an MS in biomedical sciences and a DPM from Barry University. Additionally, she completed several residency programs prior to the onset of her career. Adjacent to her primary endeavors, Dr. Velasquez is an active supporter of the Catholic Diocese of El Paso and the American Diabetes Association. She is proud to see the El Paso community growing to include more medical and dental providers and schools. In light of her fulfilling career, she credits much of her success to her passion for her work and commitment to her patients. Well-versed in health care management and administration, Jose Alejandro Rodriguez has served as the director of global trade operations, international logistics and trade operations in the Americas for Cardinal Health since 2024. Previously, he operated as the head of trade compliance excellence for North America with Cargill from 2021 to 2024. As an expert in trade and logistics management, he notably excelled in various leadership positions at DHL Express, Kuehne + Nagel, and Delmar International Inc. Adjacent to his primary endeavors, Mr. Rodriguez sits on the board of directors for Florida Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders Association. As part of his vocational journey, he earned a BA in psychology at Albizu University in 2001 and an MBA at Nova Southeastern University in 2002. Additionally, he holds a U.S. customs brokers license. Mr. Rodriguez is particularly proud of his education and grateful for the support he received from his family during his studies. Looking ahead, he aims to work in Europe and obtain a higher-level position in his industry, which would allow him to progress his career to greater heights.
