He currently serves as a strategic advisor for Heliex.AI Inc., where he helps emerging startups scale responsibly with AI. He also leads his own consulting firm, Adamastar, which focuses on AI commercialization and data governance. Mr. Starobinsky is best known as the inventor and sole patent holder of OntoGuard, a breakthrough platform that overlays large language models with real-time compliance scoring, symbolic reasoning and trust arbitration. Filed as a full United States utility patent in 2025, OntoGuard solves a major challenge in the AI landscape: bridging the gap between generative performance and enterprise-grade accountability. The system has gained attention from global AI labs, enterprise risk teams and public-sector stakeholders for its ability to detect hallucinations, enforce such regulations as GDPR or HIPAA, and produce traceable, explainable outputs. Earlier in his career, Mr. Starobinsky held senior leadership roles across major financial institutions and consulting firms. He served as an executive director and risk architect at JPMorgan Chase, the director of regulatory data strategy at UBS, and a global capability lead for metadata and data platforms at Accenture Technology. His work has influenced AI and data strategies at Citi, Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, Broadridge and Knowledgent. Mr. Starobinsky holds a BSBA from Thomas Edison State University and is certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt. Since 2024, he has served as the senior technical program manager at Belcan, where he develops strategies and implementation on projects including cost reduction for rocket targeting. Prior to accepting his current role, he worked at Blue Origin LLC as a wire harness fabrication manufacturing engineering manager. To prepare for his future career, Dr. Shaw earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering technology from South Carolina State University in 2003, and a master’s degree in business administration from Webster University in 2005. Later in his career, he pursued further education at Walden University, earning a Master of Philosophy and a Doctor of Philosophy in engineering management in 2019. He began his technical career as a field engineer in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in 1999, and after completing his undergraduate degree, he joined Electrolux as a process and manufacturing engineer. Throughout his professional journey Dr. Shaw has worked for notable companies, including Northrop Grumman, Boeing, and General Electric. Dr. Shaw considers his most notable achievement to be his leadership skills. By providing technical support, guidance and life coaching, he helps individuals recognize their potential and explore their future possibilities. He credits his success to his parents and his late grandmother, who was a significant source of inspiration and motivation during his youth. In the coming years, Dr. Shaw plans to write a book and return to academia as a professor. He also hopes to pursue opportunities for multifamily property investment and revitalize the Destiny International Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that he founded.
