This process helps illustrate how drug molecules interact with the proteins, aiding in drug discovery and development. Born in Australia to British parents, Dr. Brooks attended the University of Leeds, earning a BS in biochemistry and molecular biology in 1992 and a PhD in 1996. He became a postdoctoral researcher at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, before moving to the Grenoble Outstation in France. There, he began working in crystallography, which utilizes X-ray laboratories to analyze crystals and determine their molecular structures. In 2009, he joined Evotec in Oxfordshire, England, later transitioning to their United States office. Dr. Brooks hopes to establish a cryo-electron microscopy lab, having already begun a protein biochemistry lab to support this initiative. Through his strong relationships with Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey and Princeton University, he plans to see the project completed in the coming years. Throughout his two-decade career in information technology, Parthasarathi “Partha” Chakraborty has made significant industry contributions. He has worked for numerous notable financial services companies, including Merrill, where he served as the vice president of infrastructure and security architecture, and Bank of America, where he rose from vice president of cyber innovation and strategy to senior vice president. From 2016 to 2018, Mr. Chakraborty worked for JPMorgan Chase & Co., building the company’s credit card fraud detection security framework. He currently serves as the deputy chief information security officer at Natixis and an adjunct professor at Northwestern University. Originally from India, Mr. Chakraborty received a BE in applied electronics and instrumentation engineering from the National Institute of Technology Rourkela. Later in his career, he returned to school, earning an MS in technology management at Columbia University and an MS in information security at Western Governors University. In the coming years, Mr. Chakraborty aims to make a significant impact on the cybersecurity industry by advancing research and development. Additionally, he plans to expand and diversify Purbayon.
