Lehi, UT DEBAJYOTI PAL, PHD Dr. Debajyoti Pal is an electrical engineer, broadband access pioneer, and fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. Born in India, he earned a BTech with honors in electronics and electrical communications engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur in 1980. He subsequently immigrated to the United States to continue his education at Washington State University, where he earned an MS in electrical engineering in 1982. At Stanford University, he achieved a PhD in electrical engineering in 1990. Throughout his career, Dr. Pal has worked as an engineer for technology leaders, including Intel, TI, Bell Laboratories, Qualcomm and Cadence. He notably played an instrumental role in developing the core technologies that allowed high-speed broadband internet access to become commercially viable. He has co-founded multiple broadband access semiconductor startups with successful exits. Since 2022, Dr. Pal has served as the general manager of automotive SerDes for onsemi. There, he oversees the development of “In Vehicle Networking” chip sets. He is proud to have contributed to the improvement of his industry and looks forward to further innovating in new sectors in the coming years. Troy Rydman brings more than 15 years of cybersecurity expertise for banking and financial services to his position at Amazon Web Services Inc. There, he has served as a senior practice manager for global strategic accounts, security, risk, and compliance since 2022. Additionally, since 2018, he has been a member of Utah Food Bank's information security committee. Mr. Rydman previously excelled in various positions managing cybersecurity for Silicon Valley Bank between 2007 and 2021. He notably spent two years as the bank’s divisional chief information security officer, during which time the company remained free of any security breaches and data leaks. As part of his vocational journey, he cultivated a formal education, ultimately achieving an MS in information assurance at The Pennsylvania State University. Well-regarded for his professional accomplishments, Mr. Rydman has been featured in several media outlets, including Forbes and Utah Business. Today, he remains dedicated to using cybersecurity to create positive social outcomes.
