Ruiz has served as the principal of Pneuma Christian Academy, driving significant growth. Pinedo is an expert in operational risk and scheduling theory. Since 1997, he has served as the Julius Schlesinger Professor of Operations Management at the NYU Stern School of Business. He is also a fellow of the Production and Operations Management Society and the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences. Adjacent to his work in academia, he has consulted for Xerox, Goldman Sachs and International Paper. Dr. Pindeo achieved a PhD in operations research at the University of California, Berkeley in 1978. Shortly thereafter, he began his faculty career in 1980 as an assistant professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He went on to teach at Columbia University from 1982 until 1997, at which point he accepted his current role at NYU Stern. Well-regarded for his scholarly output as well, Dr. Pinedo has published extensively on scheduling, process management and technology. His book, “Scheduling: Theory, Algorithms, and Systems,” is one of the most adopted graduate-level texts on the topic, with sales of over 50,000 copies.
