42 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine BUSINESS, FINANCE AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP ELSA J. BROWN OWNER, PRESIDENT Bondtech Corporation Eubank, KY Elsa J. Brown is an accomplished business professional with over four decades of experience to her credit. Originally from Guatemala, she studied at Liceo Secretarial Bilingüe, where she earned a business secretarial degree in 1972. After immigrating to the United States, she worked as a bilingual secretary at Wagner Electric, where she later became a sales coordinator. After living in Australia for two and a half years, she returned to the U.S. and secured a position at Tiffany Industries, a company selling grain silos and office furniture. Feeling that her career was stagnant, she returned to school, attending Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and achieving a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management. Shortly after leaving Tiffany Industries in 1983, a former colleague reached out to Ms. Brown about a new international company specializing in used equipment. Alongside this colleague, she started International Marketing Specialist (IMS) Fabrication, a company specializing in the sales of used autoclave systems, in 1983. As the company grew, it expanded to sell new autoclaves. Currently, IMS Fabrication is working with a company in China to further increase its product offerings. In 1986, Ms. Brown created her second company, Bondtech Corporation, a global leader in designing, engineering and manufacturing autoclave systems. The company was the first U.S. manufacturer to collaborate with Korea, and in 2005, she and her team traveled to Korea to set up a facility that converts food waste into pellets intended as animal feed. Ms. Brown recognizes the importance of expanding her business internationally — one of the key aspects of her business strategy. Within its area of expertise, Bondtech Corporation has diversified across multiple industries, excelling in each one. When the U.S. market experiences a slowdown, the company can turn to Latin American markets for opportunities. Though there have been times when the company’s international business represented more than 50% of its total revenue, its U.S. business has grown significantly. Outside of her entrepreneurial work, Ms. Brown considers her most notable achievement
