Mr. Choy gained early work experience in sports management at Five-Star Sports in various customer-facing and financial recordkeeping roles between 2015 and 2017. He subsequently deepened his work experience as an accounting and information systems designer at Lovette Properties in 2018, as an audit intern at Farber Hass Hurley LLP in 2019, and as an IT support intern at JRW Investments in 2020. Prior to his current position with Guitar Center, he was an assurance senior for Ernst & Young between 2022 and 2023, having originally joined the firm in 2020 as an assurance staff member. Mr. Choy previously pursued a formal education at The Master’s University, achieving both a BSBA and a BS in computer and information sciences in 2020, graduating summa cum laude. During his time at the institution, he notably participated in the student government between 2018 and 2019 and was an international student leader between 2018 and 2020. Furthermore, Mr. Choy was formally recognized as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) by the California Board of Accountancy in 2022. Mr. Choy has been honored with several accolades, including both the Elijah Watt Sells Award from the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants and the John F. Forbes Award from the California Society of CPAs in 2021. Accounting for his accomplishments, he attributes his success to the support of his parents, brother and close friends, and to his dedication and discipline. Specializing in financial reporting and technical accounting, he has served as a senior analyst of financial reporting for the Guitar Center Company, Inc. since 2023. Since 2021, he has operated as the co-founder and chief executive officer of Picture Clean Consulting, an independent company offering consulting services in business planning and development. A 21-year veteran of the United States Air Force, he honorably served as a pilot before transitioning into administrative military leadership, retiring from his service in 2022 at the rank of lieutenant colonel. Mr. Chock established Picture Clean Consulting in 2021 to offer clients big-picture consulting services informed by his military logistics background. In his leadership roles, he oversees operations, proposals and contract execution, working alongside his fellow staff members. Furthermore, he takes an active role in executing plans for high-profile defense and military clients. He is proud to employ veterans and retired military service members and considers supporting their success to be one of the highlights of his career. As part of his vocational journey, Mr. Chock attended the United States Air Force Academy, graduating in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in biology. Continuing his studies throughout his military tenure, he achieved a Master of Business Administration at Trident University in 2009. He also completed additional coursework at the United States Army Command and General Staff College in 2014. Outside his work in consulting, Mr. Chock is a member of the board of the Serving Our Kids Foundation, a nonprofit providing supplemental nutrition services to children experiencing food insecurity in Clark County, Nevada. Additionally, he has worked as a volunteer and mentor for the Las Vegas Chambers Leadership Foundation, and he remains active in the veteran community as a member of the Disabled American Veterans. During his time in the U.S. Air Force, he received numerous medals and awards, including a 2008 Instructor of the Year recognition. Attributing his success to the support of his wife, parents, family and friends, Mr. Chock aims to continue supporting those around him in the coming years.
