Mr. Brown began teaching in the 1990s, notably accepting a physical education position at Kingston High School in 1999. He continues to serve as a faculty member at Kingston High School today, overseeing the general physical education curriculum for students in grades 9-12. He would remain in the military for the following 21 years, ultimately retiring at the rank of lieutenant colonel after serving internationally and participating in Army sports as a member of the United States Army World Class Athlete program. During his time in the Army athletics program, Mr. Brown excelled at both freestyle and GrecoRoman wrestling and participated in all-Army championships. He subsequently took part in the United States Army Europe Championship and World Championship before qualifying for the Olympics. To wit, he was ultimately selected as an alternate for the United States wrestling team at the 1992 Summer Games in Barcelona.
