In the coming years, Mr. Brown looks forward to continuing to teach students. In particular, he hopes to prepare one of his current students to pursue her goal of becoming the first female New York state wrestling champion within the next year. He advises others to focus on integrity, building connections, and cementing a positive legacy. Personally, he aspires to set an example for his family, colleagues and students. in 1992 at Morgan State University, where he attended on a full athletic scholarship. He was a four-time national qualifier and two-time NCAA Wrestling All-American champion. In 2024, he was inducted into the Morgan State University Athletic Hall of Fame. He returned to school as a mid-career professional, achieving a Master of Science in humanistic multicultural education by SUNY New Paltz in 2010. As a fixture in his community, Mr. Brown is honored to have taught generations of students and takes special pride in being able to coach and teach his former students’ children.
