Ms. Smolowe’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, trials, arbitrations and advising clients on critical legal matters, including trade secrets, privacy, professional liability and fraud. She has successfully led multiple trial teams, securing verdicts recognized as “Top Defense Verdicts” by the Daily Journal. Her credentials include a Juris Doctor from Yale Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in history from Yale University. With nearly two decades of experience to her credit, Laura D. Smolowe is a rising leader in the field of law. Small boasts nearly 40 years of professional experience. Since 2023, he has served as a trust counsel and managing director of Fiduciary Trust Company International of Pennsylvania. He primarily acts as the company’s in-house attorney, serving as a liaison with outside attorneys who designate the company as a fiduciary for their clients. Mr. Small’s organization was recognized in 2024 as the number one firm in trust administration and wealth management in Pennsylvania by The Legal Intelligencer, a local legal newspaper. Mr. Small earned a BA in classical languages and literature, cum laude, at the University of Michigan in 1982 and a JD, cum laude, at the University of Florida in 1987. He then began his career as an associate at K&L Gates (formerly Kirkpatrick & Lockhart) in 1988. He later became a senior associate at Blank Rome LLP in 1996 before joining other noteworthy institutions, such as BNY Mellon Wealth Management from 1997 to 2012 and Wells Fargo from 2012 to 2023.
