Nassen, Esq., leverages over three decades of experience in the fields of law and government. Since 2021, she has served as a principal assistant city attorney for the City Attorney’s Office in Tucson, Arizona. Her practice focuses on real estate and commercial transactions, government finance, constitutional law and complex litigation. Ms. Nassen previously served as a civil deputy county attorney for Pima County from 2003 to 2021. She began her career as an associate at Snell & Wilmer LLP, where she worked from 1993 to 2000 after graduating number one in her law school class in 1992 and clerking for the Arizona Supreme Court. During her time in the field, Ms. Nassen has developed expertise in legal ethics for government lawyers and recently assisted a task force appointed to modify the ethics rules for Arizona’s government lawyers. She is a fellow of the American Bar Foundation, active in the American Bar Association, and was named Member of the Year by the State Bar of Arizona in 2024. Looking ahead, Ms. Nassen hopes to conclude her career within the next decade by serving on an appellate court. Sean Ekhlas is an attorney celebrating over a decade of experience in freelance legal practice focused on international commercial arbitration. Inspired by his grandfather’s career in law, he specializes in alternative dispute resolution and other complex litigation practices, having notably handled cases in the United States, the United Kingdom and Dubai. In addition to his freelance practice, Mr. Ekhlas is a pro bono legal provider for the Atlanta Legal Aid Society and a former case manager for The Barnes Firm Injury Attorneys. As part of his vocational journey, Mr. Ekhlas pursued a formal education. To wit, he holds a Bachelor of Laws from Payame Noor University and master’s degrees in intellectual property and international commercial law from Arkansas Tech University and Georgia State University, respectively. Mr. Ekhlas is proud to have cultivated a successful career as a neutral and independent part of the arbitration process. Looking ahead, he hopes to continue impacting the field by helping other small firms and independent attorneys build their practices and develop their understanding of the arbitration process.
