Recognized globally for his efforts, he currently serves as a general equipment specialist with the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, part of the United States Department of Defense. Since 2019, he has assisted in repairs of equipment with logistical and technical issues and presented innovative solutions to ensure the readiness of such equipment and its fleets. Mr. Carthens often travels worldwide in pursuit of his work, and he is presently contributing to operational effectiveness in South Korea. Concurrent with his government position, Mr. Carthens has owned Sun City Scrubs LLC since 2024. His entrepreneurial spirit has been exemplified by the success of his small business, allowing him to provide health care professionals with medical apparel through an easily accessible online platform. Commencing his military career in 1994, Mr. Carthens served as a missile maintenance repairer in Lawton, Oklahoma, for two years, followed by an additional year working in the same capacity in Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. For the following three years, he was a missile systems technician in Texas, having thereafter served as a senior missile systems maintenance supervisor in Germany from 2000 to 2005. Subsequently, he was recognized as a senior electronics instructor and writer in Alabama between 2005 and 2007, as well as a senior drill instructor between 2008 and 2010, where he assumed an instrumental role in the recruitment of military personnel. Afterward, Mr. Carthens served as a senior missile systems supervisor from 2010 to 2014 and a senior logistics manager from 2014 to 2019. Retiring from active duty at that time, he served as a federal employee before transitioning into civilian positions. Exceptionally educated and always seeking continuous learning, Mr. Carthens first received a BBA in organizational leadership from Ashford University in 2014 before earning an AS in business administration and management from
