110 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine GOVERNMENT AND MILITARY A retired United States Army officer with over 25 years of excellence in leadership, management and strategic planning across the Middle East, Pacific and Europe, Gregory Hayes is distinguished for his expertise in security. Since 2025, he has served as a foreign intelligence analyst at Core One, where he has leveraged his global experience to provide exceptional services. Previously, he served as a military intelligence analyst for the deputy chief of staff G-2 at Calhoun International between 2023 and 2024 and as a cybersecurity intern at DefendEdge from 2022 to 2023. Mr. Hayes commenced his military career in 2009, having joined the United States Army and attaining the rank of captain by 2011. From 2011 until his military retirement in 2022, he served at the rank of major. Notably, during his mission overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan, Mr. Hayes received two Bronze Stars, having previously received an Army Commendation Medal, a Combat Action Badge and four Meritorious Service Medals. During his service, he led a military transition team on the Iran-Iraq border and ensured the smooth progression of the operation, which garnered him recognition for his leadership prowess. Mr. Hayes completed an MA in military and strategic leadership at St. Bonaventure University in 2014, drawing on an earlier bachelor’s degree in chemistry, which he earned from Fairfield University in 1996. In addition to his career endeavors, he revitalized the ROTC program at St. Bonaventure University, increasing the number of commissioned lieutenants from four to 16, thereby saving the program from closure. In accounting for his success, Mr. Hayes credits the strong work ethic instilled in him by his parents, which became increasingly evident as he ventured through life, college and career pursuits. His determination and perseverance – even in challenging situations such as attending Ranger school – contributed to his achievements, and he maintained a commitment to ensuring the well-being of his subordinates even in the face of difficulties. A member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Mr. Hayes enjoys playing sports, boating and partaking in outdoor activities in his spare time.
