Ms. Hendricks cites that her volunteer efforts were a meaningful experience in which she gained valuable life skills. In accounting for her success, Ms. Hendricks credits her ability to connect with students through humor and a positive classroom atmosphere. The proud mother of one daughter and grandmother of three grandchildren, Ms. Hendricks aims to continue enjoying her retirement and spending quality time with her family in the coming years. understanding of her students’ unique needs and skills allowed her to adapt her curriculum each year, and her commitment to student learning was evident in the wide success of her reading program, which increased her students’ ability to comprehend the written word and participate in class discussions. She notes that the success of her reading program stands out as a highlight of her career. Additionally, Ms. Hendricks was often called upon and requested by parents to serve as their children’s teacher. Alongside her primary endeavors in teaching, Ms. Hendricks maintains an active involvement with her community and church.
